The Indians would get off to a fast start when McIntosh fumbled on their third play from scrimmage and Hunter Spradley fell on the loose ball at the eight yard line. Omari Wilson ran fie yards down to the three before scoring on the next play. Austin Paulk kicked the PAT and the Tribe led 7-0 less than three minutes into the game.
The Indian defense forced a punt on McIntosh’s next drive and took over just across midfield. After a penalty and two Wilson runs the Tribe had moved to the Buccaneer thirty eight. From there quarterback A.J. Glover connected with Brandon Woolard for a touchdown pass. The PAT was blocked and the Indian lead was 13-0 with 5:12 left in the quarter.
McIntosh answered back quickly with a good kickoff return and on the second play ran it in from thirty one yards. The PAT was good and the Tribe’s lead was cut to 13-7.
The defense of both teams forced punts and the next several drives. With McIntosh backed up to punt from their eleven yard line Spradley blocked the punt and Javion Lambert picked it up and scored. Wilson ran in the two point conversion and with 7:15 left in the half the Indians led 21-7.
But the Buccaneers wouldn’t back down driving sixty nine yards on and scoring on a four yard run with 5:04 left before halftime making it 21-14.
McIntosh then recovered a squib quick and took over from the Indian forty one. They were unable to move the ball but punted the Indians in a hole from their own two yard line. On the first play the Indians were tackled in the end zone for a safety cutting the Indian lead to 21-16 at the 3:58 mark.
Charlton would then kick off from their own twenty. McIntosh would get a forty seven yard pass play and with just twenty six seconds left in the half scored on a thirty six yard run. The PAT gave McIntosh a 23-21 lead going into the half.
Both teams forced punts to start the second half. The Tribe would get forty yards rushing from Wilson to start their second drive along with a pass from Glover to Trevan Cobb moved the ball to the thirty two. Glover and Khalil Smith then paired up with a long touchdown pass with 3:38 left in the third quarter. The PAT failed and the Tribe led 27-23.
The lead would be short lived as the Buccaneers received the kickoff and raced eighty two yards to paydirt and after a missed PAT McIntosh led 29-27.
The Indians would show their mettle and on their second play after the kickoff Glover and Woolard connected for the second time this time from fifty eight yards. The PAT was unsuccessful and Charlton now led 33-29 with 2:20 left in the third quarter.
The Indian defense got a big stop on the next possession and after a punt the offense took over just across the fifty yard line. A screen pass to Wilson picked up nineteen yards and on third and ten from the twenty nine yard line Glover and Woolard connected for third time. Paulk’s PAT pushed the lead to 40-29 just thirty seconds into the fourth quarter.
But McIntosh wouldn’t quit and drove sixty five yards on just six plays and after a successful PAT the lead was trimmed to four points with 9:12 remaining.

The Indian defense stepped up again and forced a turnover on downs after the Buccaneers lost two yards. Taking over with 2:24 remaining and McIntosh not having any timeouts left the Indians were able to run out the clock and hang on for the 40-36 win.
