Last Monday the Charlton County Track and Field teams competed against six other region teams in the GHSA Class A-D2 Region 2 track and field championship in Quitman, Georgia. After a long day of competition, the Charlton County Indians and Maidens claimed the 2026 Region Track and Field Championship for the second year in a row. On the boys’ side, the Indians scored 193 points edging out a strong performance from Brooks County scoring 171 and our Maidens totally dominated from start to finish scoring 202 total points, 66 points ahead of region runner-up, Brooks County. Charlton’s top point scorers in the region:
