In an exciting display of skill, teamwork, and perseverance, the Charlton County 10U Soccer Team captured the championship at the Jitterbug Classic Soccer Tournament in Brantley County on Saturday, November 8. Held at the Brantley County Recreation Complex, the annual Jitterbug Tournament brought together youth teams from across South Georgia, including squads from Brantley, Long, McIntosh, and Pierce counties.
The Charlton County team battled through tough competition, demonstrating discipline and heart on their way to a well-earned victory. Team coaches and parents expressed their pride following the win. According to local recreation officials, the 10U performance showcased both offensive creativity and defensive discipline. “These kids vied for the ring with such determination, playing hard until the conclusion of the overtime period,” said Lisa Browning. “Charlton 10U soccer rocked Saturday night.” The victory not only marks a milestone for the 10U players but also highlights the continued success of the youth soccer program.
With this triumph, the team has set a strong foundation for future seasons and inspired younger players to dream big. The young champions celebrated their well-deserved moment in the spotlight: Charlton County 10U, 2025 Jitterbug Tournament Champions.
