Jubilee Year Event

St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church invites the community to a special Jubilee Year event celebrating the life and legacy of St. Francis of Assisi.

On Thursday, September 24, 2026, at 6:00 PM, parishioners and guests are welcome to gather for a showing of the acclaimed  documentary “Sign of Contradiction”, presented by Bill Tuthill. Deacon Tim Hughes will be available for questions after the movie.

The event will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 700 Kingsland Drive, Folkston.

Sign of Contradiction is a 2018 documentary exploring the remarkable journey of St. Francis – his struggles, conversion, and the profound transformation that shaped his life and continues to inspire the world eight centuries later.

As we celebrate the 800th anniversary of St. Francis’ death, this Jubilee Year offers a meaningful opportunity to reflect on how his witness of humility, peace, and radical faith speaks to our own lives today. A light meal will be served before the film.
