Proclamation Honoring 13 years of Service for Bruce Young WHEREAS, Bruce Young has honorably and faithfully served as the Director of Emergency Management and Emergency Medical Services (EMA/EMS) for Charlton County for the past thirteen (13) years; and WHEREAS, throughout his tenure, he has demonstrated unwavering dedication to public safety, emergency preparedness, and rapid response in times of crisis; and WHEREAS, he has been instrumental in building strong partnerships with local, state and federal agencies with a steadfast commitment to protecting the lives and property of our citizens; and WHEREAS, under his leadership, the EMA/EMS department advanced significantly through improved training programs, upgraded emergency response infrastructure and equipment, and enhanced community outreach and disaster preparedness initiatives; and WHEREAS, he guided the department through numerous emergencies and critical incidents, including two (2) major fires, multiple hurricanes, tropical storms, and occasional ice storms; and WHEREAS, his legacy of leadership, commitment, and public service will have a lasting impact on our emergency services and the lives of those served; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED, the Charlton County Board of Commissioners does hereby extend its sincere appreciation and admiration to Bruce Young for his exemplary service, commitment, and dedication to the people of Charlton County and congratulate Bruce on his well-deserved retirement.
