Jannie L. Mobley-Jackson (10/30/2026)

Mrs. Jannie L. Mobley-Jackson passed away at the Life Care Center in Hilliard, Florida on Friday, October 30, 2026. She was born on September 14, 1944, to the late, Johnnie and Earnestine Williams-Mobley in Folkston, Ga.

Jannie attended Bethune High School before eventually relocating to West Palm Beach, Florida where she became a member of Friendship Baptist Church in West Palm Beach, Florida before moving back to Folkston, Georgia many years later. While in West Palm Beach, she worked as a nurse’s aide for many years before becoming a private duty caretaker where she soon became a part of the Kirkpatrick family, who loved her dearly.

Jannie attended church faithfully and enjoyed fishing and dancing. She was a very joyous person that had many friends who loved her deeply.

Jannie had one son, Darryl, who she poured everything she had into. He grew up to become the man that she groomed him to be. Strong, smart, kind, supportive and loving. She lived long enough to witness and reap everything a mother could possibly sow into her son. Darryl was her world, and she was his.

Jannie was a very energetic and outgoing person that loved people. She touched many lives and was loved by so many people. She was a great mother to her only son and filled the role of both a mother and a father.

Jannie was preceded in death by both parents, Johnnie and Earnestine Mobley and her dear brother, Robert Elgin Mobley AKA (Snow).

She leaves to cherish her every memory: her husband, James Jackson; her loving son, Darryl Mobley, her sisters, Yolanda (Clarence) Kennedy, Stephanie (Todd) Hamilton, Marie Evans, Lavern Haywood, Priscilla Groover, Samantha Sharpe, Yosha Hamilton, Lurena McLeod, Patricia Wheeler and Kay Frances Harris; her brothers, Keith (Tonya) Mobley, Belvin Smiley and Russell Reed, her sister in-law, Maxine Mobley; a close and special niece, Karen Mobley (Abdul) Purnell; a special nephew, Kevin Mobley; a close and special friend of the family, Larry Gibbs and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss her dearly.
