Over the past few months, residents and visitors may have noticed several exciting improvements taking place throughout the City of Folkston. From updates at the popular Folkston Funnel Platform – including renovated bathrooms expected to be completed later this year – to the removal of trees with overgrown roots, the city has been steadily working to enhance the community. Most recently, beautiful new banner signs promoting the importance of shopping local have been installed along Main Street, adding both charm and community pride to the downtown area.
These upgrades reflect Folkston’s continued efforts to improve and beautify the town, making a strong impression for the small hometown so many are proud to call home. With these improvements underway, hopes are high that businesses along Main Street will also follow suit by refreshing and updating their storefronts, helping create an even more welcoming and vibrant downtown district.
