Charlton County Siren Assessment Notice!!!

Charlton County Emergency Management Agency will conduct an assessment of eight outdoor warning sirens on Friday, January 30th (weather permitting) beginning around 10:00 a.m. and continuing through end of business hours.

This assessment is part of a broader effort to review legacy warning infrastructure, evaluate siren usability, and inform future planning.

What to Expect:

Residents in or near the listed areas may hear brief, intermittent siren sounds during the assessment period.

Locations/Areas:

1. Fire Station 5 – Winokur

2. Fire Station 3 – Racepond

3. City of Homeland Water Tower

4. City of Folkston Water Tower

5. Pinkney Drive – Folkston

6. Dena Drive/Traders Hill Road – Folkston

7. Fire Station 2 – St. George

8. Chism Trail/Hwy 185 – Moniac

9. *Potentially a siren in the area of Sparkman Cir. (TBD)
