Annie Lee Snowden (8/31/2026)
Annie Lee was born December 17, 1949 to Frank Snowden and Kathleen Nettles Snowden, who preceded her in death. She was raised at Corn House Creek and continued to live there until her death. She loved her family and oftentimes demonstrated it through family gatherings. All of her nieces and nephews can remember having dinners on Sunday afternoons and the food never disappointed! She enjoyed listening to her family and friends get together and play music. She would often invite everyone so she could enjoy those bluegrass songs and country hits from days gone by. Annie Lee was a social person and easily made friends with people she met along the way. She will be dearly missed but her family takes comfort in knowing she’s with her loved ones who went on before her.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers: Dennis Snowden, Dean Snowden, Ernest Snowden, Earl Snowden, Charlton Snowden and Marvin Snowden; sister: Shirley Snowden; nephew: Joseph Snowden; nieces: Sylvia Snowden, Sheila Snowden, Gloria Snowden, Betty Nazworth, and Barbara Lee; and great-nieces: Rebecca Snowden and Melissa Harris.
Left to mourn her passing, are her nieces and nephews: Dennis Snowden, Jr. (Marla), Janice Howell (Richard), Hazel Harris (John), Jim Snowden (Heather), Susan Robinson, John Wayne Snowden, Debbie Dawsey (Freddy), David Snowden (Louise), Larry Snowden (Debbie), Brenda Wise (Kelly), Angela Gowen (Wayne), Lorinda Norris (Rod), and Briana Snowden; and numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held from 12:00 – 1:00 PM on Saturday, September 5, 2026 at Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM with Mitchell Snowden officiating.
