The Charlton County High School Indians wrestling team fought a hard dual on November 19, but ultimately lost to Brunswick at 52-21. According to Jerrod Cisco, head coach, many players were unable to compete or were not yet on weight. Additionally, Brunswick placed third in 6A last year, so he is still pleased with their performance.

Player highlights include Jaylen Lilley who secured a forfeit at 195 and Asad Akbar, Dairius Jones, and Nehemiah Alderman who each had pins.

The team then faced off in South Effingham and won 3-2 against Effingham, Bryan County and Bluffton South Carolina. The two dropped duals were against South Effingham and Ware County.

The team is currently working on conditioning to get players in their weight class.

The next match is Camden Callout at the Camden County High School this Thursday at 4:00 p.m.
