Last Tuesday the Indian and Maiden track teams of Charlton County High School traveled to Waycross to compete in a four way meet with Ware County, Appling County, and Bacon County.

The Maidens’ squad finished third overall on team points, but had some good performances. Leading the way were Taylor Knox and Marissa Green, who both finished second in the 100 meter hurdles and the long jump, respectively. They would get third place finishes from Green in the triple jump, Knox in the 300 meter hurdles, Jordan Vernon in the 100 meters, Teonia Wiggs in the 200 meters. The 4x100 relay team of Wiggs, Vernon, Jashanti Woods, and Jordyn Neumann also placed third.

The Indians placed second in the meet and were led by Kyler Williams with a first place finish in the triple jump. The 4x400 relay team of Xavier Swift, Jaylen King, D.J. Savage and Jamari Hamilton also picked up a first place finish. Savage placed second in the 100 meters as did Noah Capps in the 3200 meter run, Jaylen King in the 110 meter hurdles, and Kyler Williams in the 300 meter hurdles. The 4x100 relay team of Emari Williams, Savage, Kyler Williams, and King also placed second. Picking up third place finishes were Swift in the 400 meters, Imod Hamilton the 800 meters, Kyler Williams in the 110 meter hurdles, Jaylen Lilley in the 300 meter hurdles and Xzavion Jackson in the shot put.
