The Bethune Braves baseball team got their season off to a good start last Monday scoring all of their runs early on to take a 7-1 win over Camden Middle School.

Eli Hobbs drove in two runs in the top of the first inning and scored himself on a ground out by Cameron Murray as the Braves took a 3-0 lead.

In the second inning Isaiah Baker scored on a passed ball and two Camden errors plated Griffin Thomas and Heath Ray. Hobbs came home on a ground out as the Braves opened up a 7-0 lead after two innings.

Camden got on the board in the bottom of the third, but still trailed 7-1. Neither team would cross the plate the remainder of the game as the Braves took home the win.

Hobbs led the Braves offense with two hits and three RBI's. Chase Rhoden claimed the win on the mound going the first two innings, while Murray came on in relief to complete the final three innings.
