In a season that saw much improvement from start to finish the Bethune Middle School Braves wrapped up their season at 8-5-1 after beating Yulee Middle School in the season finale.

The Braves opened up a 2-0 lead in the top of the first on a David Walters RBI double and a bunt by Ayden Crews. But Yulee would score five times over the next three innings to take a 5-2 lead heading into the fourth inning.

The Braves loaded the bases and Cameron Edwards scored on a wild pitch before Walters delivered a single that scored two more runners. Walters would come around to score on a sacrifice fly by Chase Rhoden before Brayden Knowles came through with a two RBI single giving Bethune an 8-5 lead.

Bethune scored their final two runs when Rhoden tripled home Walters and Eli Hobbs in the fifth inning as they would hold on and bring home a 10-5 win.

Walters led Bethune with four hits while Hobbs and Rhoden both picked up two hits. Rhoden picked up the win on the mound pitching the first four innings while Griffin Thomas came on the finish out the final two frames.
