The Bethune Braves finally got to open their season last week after their original opening game was canceled due to the weather. They would make the ride down to Jacksonville and came back with a 26-0 win over University Christian.
Jamari Hamilton opened the scoring with a touchdown run and Emari Williams scored on a run of his own. Bryson Allbritton connected with Ryan Milton for the two-point conversion as the Braves led 14-0 at the half.
In the second half, Williams added another score when he scooped up a fumble and raced to the end zone, making it 20-0. Hamilton added another rushing touchdown to wrap up the scoring for the Braves.
Defensively, the Braves intercepted four passes with Jeremy Smith, Isaac Bryant, Jaden Anderson, and Hamilton each grabbing one.
