Wilbur Darrell Vroman, 84, of Hilliard, passed away at his residence March 5, 2019. 

He was born September 10, 1934 in Ogden, KS. 

Wilbur proudly served in the United States Army for 20 years where he served two tours in Vietnam and in the Korean Conflict. He worked as a land surveyor following his military service and was a member of Height Church in Beech Island, SC. Wilbur was a life long resident of Gloverville, SC until moving to Hilliard about a month ago.

He is survived by his children, Rebecca (Jim) White, Donna (Hank) Stringer, Pam (Huey) Koon, Teresa Testa, Darrell (Lisa) Vroman, and Darren (Jennifer) Vroman; 22 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 12 in the chapel of Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home with Rev. Darrell Vroman officiating. The family received friends prior to the service at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Jacksonville National Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. with full military honors. Pallbearers will be Bruce White, Robert White, Daniel Vroman, Zachary Vroman, Butch Cusack, Nathanael Vroman.
