Paul Thomas May

Paul Thomas May, 81, of Folkston, passed away December 15, 2020 at Kindred Hospital in Green Cove Spring, FL.  He was born August 24, 1939 to the late Sidney Lee May and Ethel Hasey Phillips May in Hardy, KY.  He retired from Ford Motor Company and was a member of Buford Grove Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Sidney Ervin May, Jimmy Lee May and Darrel Dean May.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Phyllis Jean Thacker May; children, Tammy Lynn May Weant and her husband, Bob and Paul Byron May and his wife, Caroline; two brothers and sisters-in law, Albert Ray May and his wife, Judy and Johnny Glenn May and his wife, Loretta; two sisters-in-law, Katherine May and Hoa May; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Local funeral services were held Sunday, December 20 at Buford Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Curtis Harrington officiating.  The family received friends an hour prior to the service at the church.  Funeral services in Kentucky were held Tuesday, December 22 at  the R.E. Rogers Funeral Home Chapel in Belfry, KY.  The family received friends there an hour prior to the service also.  Burial was in Blusprings Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery, Ransom, KY.
