Malcolm Logan “Mike” Brooks, Jr., 68, of St. George, passed away Monday, June 24, 2019, at his home following a lengthy illness. He was born April 18, 1951, in Gordon. He earned his BS in Zoology from Clemson University. Mr. Brooks retired from the Georgia DNR following over 30 years of service in 2003. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Malcolm Logan Brooks, Sr. 

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, JoAnn Harvey Brooks; a daughter, Arlene Crews; two-grandchildren, Mika Shae Stamps, and Ernest Duane Stamps, Jr; his mother, Catherine Pittman Brooks; and a brother, Malcolm Andrew Brooks; a number of nieces, nephews, great nephews, and great-nieces. 

The family received friends Friday, June 28, at Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home in Folkston. Graveside funeral services were held Saturday, June 29, at Boones Creek Cemetery, in St. George, with the Rev. James Conner officiating.
