John Wesley Woodland, III

John Wesley Woodland, III was born on May 24, 1958 in Jacksonville, FL to the late Mary Inez Hinley and John Wesley Woodland, Jr. and passed away on August 20, 2020 at the age of 62.  

John was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife of 35 years, Cheryl, his sister, Donna, and his uncle, Bob Young. 

 John is survived by his wife, Mylissa; three daughters, Angie Lee Fowler (Jonathan Trumpler), Marissa McGill, and Holly Van Lear (Jeff); one son, Kenneth McGill; seven grandchildren, Nicholas Lee Fowler, Kyle Lee Fowler, Anyia Trumpler, Jonathan Trumpler, Jr., Shealy McGill, Logan McPhee, and Bryson Van Lear; two brothers, Johnny Wunderlich (Patricia Riggins) of Alma, GA and Tony John Woodland (Jasmine Lamie) of Orange City, MA; sisters-in-love and brothers-in-love, Debra Collins (Larry), Sue Benton (Phil White), Johnny Fowler (Melinda), Nancy Britt, and Tony King; and a host of other relatives and friends. 

A memorial service in remembrance of Mr. Woodland is scheduled for Saturday, September 5, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at Moniac Baptist Church, 10594 Highway 185, St. George, GA 31562 with Pastor Matt Rouse officiating.  Casual dress is acceptable and encouraged.   

 Monetary donations in lieu of flowers would be greatly appreciated and may be given to Mylissa at the memorial service or through a account set up in John’s name.
