John Allon Boatright

John Allon Boatright, 90, of Valdosta, GA formerly of Brunswick, GA died Tuesday August 16, 2022 in the Langdale Hospice House.

He was born November 24, 1931 in Alma, GA to the late Wiley Herman Boatright and the late Ira Deen Boatright. He was a true salesman, especially cars, and owned and operated Boatright Motors in Folkston, for a number of years. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, veteran of the United States Air Force and served in Korean Conflict.

He was preceded in death by two sons, John Jeffery Boatright and John Allon Boatright, II; daughter-in-law, Debra Lyn Boatright; two sisters, Beverly Sarah Frances Boatright Cecire and Katherine Boatright Woods; two brothers, Edward Deen Boatright and Herman Clayton Boatright.

He is survived by his wife, Ann Rogers Boatright of Valdosta, GA; son, Phil Boatright of Roy, Utah; daughter-in-law, Libby Garner Boatright of Valdosta, GA; 12 grandchildren, Mitchel John (Kristy) Boatright, Bethann Boatright (Paul) Mahnke, Meghan Boatright (Carl) Gibson, John Christopher Boatright, Ashlin Boatright (Sam) Heath, John Jeffery Boatright, Jr., John Mikell Boatright, Janna Boatright (Austin) Walton, John Allon (Jay) Boatright, III and Maggie Elizabeth Boatright.

Funeral services were held Saturday, August 20, 2022 in Waycross Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with Bishop Scott Mathis, Mr. Corey Pittman and Captain Greggory Boatright officiating. Interment followed in the Screven City cemetery. Visitation was Saturday in the church one hour prior to the service.

Arrangements were under the direction of Lovein Funeral Home, Nashville, GA.
