On July 8, 2021, at approximately 8:30 a.m., the Charlton County Sheriff’s Office in conjunction with the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office, arrested Lena Leigh Davis, age 44, of 539 Cotton Street in Homeland on active felony parole warrants. Davis was located at this residence and taken into custody without incident. Further investigation into the incident resulted in the arrest of Jode Lee Weaver, age 40 on active probation warrants out of the Waycross Judicial Circuit. Additional investigation also resulted in narcotics and contraband being located. Davis and Weaver were arrested on their active warrants and additionally charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Heroin with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Marijuana, Possession and Use of Drug-Related Objects, and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Davis and Weaver were transported to the Charlton County jail and released to the on-duty jailor.
Other agencies involved included the Federal Probation Office, ATF Office, and Homeland Police Department. Investigator Sammie Hendrix was the primary investigator for Charlton County.
The following arrests were also made Jarvis Blackshear, age 39 of Folkston, arrested July 2 for failure to appear; Derrick Kellerman, age 41, of Gainesville, arrested July 4 for failure to appear; Angela Perry, of St. George arrested July 6 for cruelty to children third degree, exploitation, and intimidation of disabled adult; Howard Beard, age 44, of Homeland, arrested July 6 for failure to appear; Joshua Campbell, age 38, of St. George, arrested July 7 for driving while license suspended second, improper equipment and no insurance; and Tonya Padilla, age 37, of Jacksonville, arrested July 8 for failure to appear.
