Okefenokee Festival held Saturday

The 49th annual Okefenokee festival was held Saturday, October 10. While the the event was forced to be different than previous years, it was still a success. Visitors had a blast throwing axes, checking out local products and stopping at the car show. Food booths were scattered through the festival to keep crowds at a minimum and allowing guests to taste some local cuisine. Above, Okefenokee Pageant queens and Mayor Lee Gowen open the event.
