A traffic stop fin Homeland or speeding on September 18 at 7:45 p.m. resulted in the arrest of three Florida men for trafficking in cocaine, possession of ecstasy, and possession of marijuana. Officer Mike King initiated a traffic stop on U.S. 1 for the speeding violation. During the traffic stop, Officer King noticed something was not adding up during the traffic stop. Officer King requested assistance from Deputy Wyatt Garvin with the Charlton County Sheriff’s Office. 

Once Deputy Garvin arrived to assist Officer King, a search of the vehicle was conducted. During a search of the vehicle, Officer King and Deputy Garvin located a large quantity of suspected cocaine. All three suspects were placed under arrest for trafficking cocaine. A further search of the vehicle uncovered a quantity of marijuana and ecstasy. There was over 90 grams of suspected cocaine recovered. 

All three suspects were transported to the Charlton County Sheriff’s Office and charged with trafficking in cocaine~ and possession of marijuana, open container violation, possession of a controlled substance (ecstasy), and speeding. The suspects were Michael Wayne Hunter, Christin Jawan Foster, and Demetris Letrell Coleman, all of Ocala, Florida.
