The Folkston Police Department recently released the motor vehicle crash reports from September 1 through September 25.

September 1, a 1993 Chevrolet Caprice driven by James Parnell Woodard, was traveling south on GA Hwy. 4 in the fast lane. A 2006 Mercury Mountaineer driven by Lucas Dean Bullard, was traveling south on GA Hwy. 4 in the slow lane. The Caprice attempted to enter into the McDonald’s parking lot by entering into the slow lane and breaking in front of the Mountaineer, causing the Mountaineer to strike the Caprice in the rear end.

September 4, a 2015 Chevrolet Cruze driven by Janet Andrea Lopez, was stopped on GA Hwy. 252, facing west, attempting to turn left into D. Ray James. A 2017 Nissan Rogue driven by Loren Elizabeth Durrence, was traveling west on GA Hwy. 252, approaching the Cruze. The Rogue failed to stop striking the Cruze in the right rear causing visible damage to both vehicles.

September 10, a 2014 Nissan Altima driven by Willie Lee Moore, was stopped at the red light facing west on Love Street. A 2007 Toyota Tundra, driven by Andrew Taylor Wise, failed to yield, striking the Altima in the rear. Wise stated that he fell asleep while waiting at the red light.

September 12, a 2017 Ford F250 driven by Jacoby Barnard Reese and a 2016 Nissan Altima driven by Jenny Joseph, were both traveling east on Martin Street. The Ford F250 was pulling a trailer and the trailer landing gear broke. The Altima struck the landing gear in the roadway.

September 14, a 2016 Honda Accord was parked in the parking lot at D. Ray James facing south, unoccupied. A 2000 Ford Expedition driven by William Scott Hogg, was parked 

behind the Accord. The Expedition began to roll, striking the Accord in the rear. Hogg stated he parked the Expedition, reached to get a rag, and then realized he struck the Accord.

September 20, a 2017 Toyota Rav4 was parked in the dirt parking area of Roberson Daycare facing east, unoccupied. A 2007 GMC Yukon driven by Wanda Kay Lee, was parked facing east forward adjacent to the Rav4. The Yukon attempted to back, turning the rear of the Yukon toward the south. The Yukon struck the Rav4.

September 25, a 1998 Toyota Avalon, driven by Raquel Denise Harvey, crashed into the ditch at GA Hwy. 4 northbound and Indian Trail. Witnesses advised Harvey left the scene before law enforcement arrived. The Avalon was left abandoned by Harvey.
