Charlton County High School held its first Future Georgia Educators Signing Day, Tuesday, May 7, for students who took a part in the Charlton County High School Early Childhood Education Pathway. Kynlee O’Berry (left) and Kali Goodwin (right) will major in Early Childhood Education. Kynlee will study at South Georgia State College. Kara Chesser and Heather Billington have been inspiring her educational career since elementary school. She got the opportunity to volunteer under Mrs. Billington during her sophomore year and this helped her realize her passion for teaching. After graduation, she plans to teach in Camden County. Kali will study at Valdosta State University. She has dreamed of becoming a teacher since she was a little girl. Her grandmother, Amanda Jackson, was a first grade teacher before becoming an assistant principal. Kali looks up to her grandmother and wants to make a difference in children’s lives like she did. After graduation, Kali plans to come to her hometown and hopes to teach at the local elementary school.
