Most recently a homemaker, Linda was a hard worker her whole life and retired when she moved to Georgia in 1978. Formerly, she was a licensed beautician who continued to cut hair for family and friends for many years. She loved to cook and was known for her amazing strawberry cakes, lasagna and cucumber sandwiches. She loved to tell stories about John Dillinger and Pretty Boy Floyd. Linda had a green thumb for many things especially her beautiful African Violets. She loved to read novels and true crime books when she wasn’t busy quilting or sewing. She enjoyed putting up and canning vegetables that she and George had grown throughout the year. Some of her favorite shows were Bonanza, The Waltons, Dr. Quinn, Little House, and Alaskan Bush People. She was a proud supporter of the Jacksonville Jaguars and could often be seen sporting a jersey on football Sunday. Fond memories her grandkids and great grandkids can share include learning how to cook, picking out books to read together, as well as playing Bingo and Chinese Checkers. Linda was a wonderful wife, mom, grandma, great grandma, aunt, sister, and was loved by all who knew her for her giving nature, wit and spunk.
